Flood

Woke up this morning to this:

Supply line to the toilet burst. Awesome. Fortunately, not a lot of "stuff" damaged. All the carpeting will need to be replaced. And a bunch of drywall. Fear not, though. The quilt cave is on the other side of the basement. All the fabric is safe! Priorities, right?

Oh no! We have had enough rain. It can stop now. Really. Sorry about your basement!

Ugh, that really stinks!! We had the same thing happen except it was my hubby who left the spigot to the hose on outside & it leaked for 2 days into the well of my egress window...right where my craft room is. Thankfully my stuff was not ruined!! We have to have our priorities in check, right?! hehe

Ugh! That's awful but thank goodness it wasn't the quilt cave. That would have been catastrophic!!!!!

You got me thinking -what is downstairs under my toilet? Just the chair where hubby sometimes sits. :) Whew, my fabric too is on the other side. Good luck with the clean-up.

The flood...not good news. The fabric is safe and sound..great news. Mine is upstairs so no chance of any plumbing causing havoc.

So sorry...that is not a fun thing to happen but at least it wasn't your fabric and quilty things!

Wheww! Glad to hear the fabric is ok - lol! Sorry you have to spend time cleaning.

Oh no! You have my deepest sympathy. Last time we had a really bad roof leak, it was directly over my open purse. :-( On the bright side, it was in an apartment, so the only damage we had to deal with was my soggy bag.

So glad it wasn't over the quilt cave!

Well, at least it was the supply line! Think of how much worse it could have been if it had been the end-product line! LOL. Like everyone else, glad the fabric is safe!

eeeek - unbelievably, we woke to the same thing this morning - just over a month later :) fortunately, the toilet is beside the stairs that go down to our basement, and so the majority of the water is in the stairwell!! oh, well at least i have to now give it a good clean!! and apart form the ceiling, nothing is ruined...
