High Hopes

I have them this week. Both kids are gone (Kyle to college - drop off went great - not a tear was shed!), Katie is at a friend's visitng all week and hubby is working/doing stuff all days and nights. So I have high hopes of finishing a few things. Got this gal pieced today. Just deciding, border or no border? The binding will be the stripe in the bottom right corner. Stripes, my favorite kind of border, followed closely by polka dots. What do you think?

Right now, measuring about 54" x 54".

It's beautiful! I think a border the same size as sashing would look great with that binding.

I love it! Looks like a stain glass window. I would add a border to act as a frame to tie it all together. Love the colors!

I'd do a border that matches the sashing to make the blocks pop out even more!

I agree. There needs to be something separating the striped binding from the blocks. (In my humble opinion! :) It looks awesome Heather!

It's gorgeous! I think the way you have it laid out, with black border, and striped binding is perfect!

I like the way you show it on the bottom right side, with a border...

I agree with most here. A black border the size of your sashing would set it off nicely. I love the striped binding!

I agree - a black boarder would really make this pop, esp with that awesome binding strip!

i think black border too - to frame the little "windows" it really did look like stained glass in the thumbnail pic! lovely!

All righty, black border it is! I was leaning that way anyway, but needed a break from the project before I committed.

And Tammie, not one tear! (Last year was my year for tears, when we let him stay in Virginia to finish his Sr. year. I do believe I'm all cried out!)Good luck with preschool!
